Euroopa Komisjoni energia valdkonna infopäevad 2017

Euroopa Komisjon korraldab energia valdkonna infopäevasid, mille raames tutvustab Horisont 2020 2018-2020 tööprogrammi rahastuse võimalusi.

Selle aasta infopäevadel:

• Antakse uut informatsiooni Euroopa energiatõhususe poliitikast;
• Tutvustatakse Horisont 2020 energia valdkonna 2018-2020 taotlusvoorude prioriteete;
• Antakse juhiseid, kuidas taotleda rahastust;
• Pakutakse iga valdkonna jaoks töötubasid, nt energiatõhususe töötoas on võimalik kohtuda EASME energia meeskonnaga ja saada vastuseid oma küsimustele;
• Pakutakse võimalust võrgustada ja leida projektipartnereid riiklike kontaktpunktide (NCP) partnerlusürituse kaudu.

Üritusele oodatakse üle 700 osaleja VKEde ühendustest, ettevõtetest, Euroopa ja riiklikest kaubandusliitudest, kaubanduskodadest, ELi institutsioonidest, ülikoolidest, finantsasutustest jne.
Üritust on võimalik jälgida veebi vahendusel.

Save the Date: Energy Info Days 2017
This year the Energy Information Days will present the new funding opportunities and innovative schemes offered by Horizon 2020’s Work Programme 2018-2020. If you would like to know more about the type of projects we will be looking for, save the date and join us in Brussels next 23, 24 and 25 October 2017.
This year’s Information Days will:

•    update you on the European Energy Efficiency policy;
•    present you the Energy priorities of the H2020 Energy 2018-2020 calls for proposals;
•    provide you with guidance on how to apply for funding;
•    offer you dedicated workshops for each funding area e.g. Energy Efficiency, with the opportunity to meet the EASME energy team and receive answers to your questions;
•    give you an opportunity to network and find project partners through the National Contact Points Brokerage event.

Konverents „Sotsiaalne innovatsioon – tuleviku teadusuuringud ja poliitika: tervikliku innovatsioonipoliitika poole“

Konverents „Sotsiaalne innovatsioon – tuleviku teadusuuringud ja poliitika: tervikliku innovatsioonipoliitika poole“ on 2017. aasta üks olulisemaid sotsiaalse innovatsiooni üritusi.

Konverentsi eesmärk on uurida sotsiaalse innovatsiooni teadus- ja innovatsioonipoliitika tulevikku tuues kokku juhtivad sotsiaalinnovaatorid, akadeemikud ja poliitikud, et arutada:

• Kontseptualiseerimise hetkeolukorda ja sotsiaalse innovatsiooni tegemist globaalses mastaabis;
• Meetodeid ja häid tavasid soovitud sotsiaalsete muutuste elluviimiseks;
• Ressursse ja vahendeid sotsiaalse innovatsiooni protsesside tõhusamaks muutmiseks;
• Sotsiaalse innovatsiooni tavade, poliitikate ja uuringute rahvusvahelist võrdlust.

Konverentsi korraldavad 7. raamprogrammi rahastatud projekt SI-DRIVE (ingl. Social Innovation – Driving Force of Social Change, one project under the Horizon 2020 Programme), Horisont 2020 rahastatud projekt SIC (ingl. Social Innovation Community), Belgia Flaami Kuninglik Teaduste ja Kunstide Akadeemia ja Horisont 2020 riiklike kontaktpunktide võrgustik NET4SOCIETY.

Conference “Social Innovation – Research and Policy of the Future: towards a comprehensive innovation policy”
The conference, titled “Social Innovation – Research and Policy of the Future: towards a comprehensive innovation policy” on 24th and 25th October in Brussels, is going to be one of the key events on social innovation in the year 2017.
It is planned to explore the future of social innovation research and policy by bringing together leading social innovators, academics and politicians to discuss:

– the state-of-the-art of conceptualising and doing social innovation on a global scale;
– methods and good practices to create desirable social change;
– resources, means and levers making social innovation processes effective; and
– an international comparison of social innovation practices, policies and research.

The conference is hosted by one project under the EU 7th Framework Programme, SI-DRIVE – Social Innovation – Driving Force of Social Change, one project under the Horizon 2020 Programme, SIC – Social Innovation Community, the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts and NET4SOCIETY, a network of National Contact Points in Horizon 2020.

Seminar „ Teadmiste diplomaatia – teadus-, haridus- ja kultuuridiplomaatia ühendamine“
26.10.17 Brüssel, Belgia

Seminari eesmärk on käsitleda Saksamaa ja Euroopa lähenemisviisi teaduse, hariduse ja kultuuri integreerimiseks välispoliitikasse ning rõhutada ülikoolidevahelise koostöö rolli riikide ja inimeste vaheliste sidemete loomiseks.

Seminar pakub praktilisi näiteid ja arutelu poliitikapõhimõtetest riiklikul ja ELi tasandil. Üritusel on esindatud Saksamaa välisministeerium, Saksamaa haridus- ja teadusministeerium, Euroopa Komisjon, Euroopa välisteenistus, kuid ka kõrgharidus- ja kultuuriasutused. Nende osalejate kaasamise eesmärk on arutada potentsiaalseid sünergiaid teaduse, kultuuri ja kõrghariduse diplomaatia kontseptsioonides.

Osavõtt on tasuta, kuid osalejad peavad ise katma oma reisi- ja majutuskulud.

Knowledge Diplomacy – Linking Science, Education and Cultural Diplomacy
The seminar will look at the German and European approach for integrating science, education and culture in external policy and highlight the role of university cooperation in building bridges between countries and people. The seminar will present practical examples and discuss policy concepts at national and EU level.
We have the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the German Foreign Office, the German Ministry for Education and Research, the European Commission and the European External Action Service as well as representatives from higher education and cultural institutions. By bringing these actors together we aim to discuss potential synergies in the concepts of science, cultural and higher education diplomacy.
Participation in the seminar is free of charge, participants are requested to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Partnerlusüritus „Tuleviku linnad 2017“

ELi rahastatud projekt „Türgi Horisont 2020-s“ ja Türgi teadus- ja tehnoloogiauuringute agentuur TUBITAK korraldavad partnerlusüritust „Tuleviku linnad 2017“. Üritus on suunatud järgnevatele Horisont 2020 taotlusvooru teemadele (inglise keeles):

• “Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Cities” and “Energy Efficient Buildings”
• “Circular Economy (SPIRE, Raw Materials and Water)
• “Mobility for Growth,” “Automated Road Transport” and “The European Green Vehicles Initiative”

Üritus toob kokku 400 inimest Euroopast ja Türgist, nii teadus- kui ka tööstussektorist ja kohalikest omavalitsustest.

Üritus pakub võimalust tutvuda Türgi ja Euroopa osalejatega, kuid ka kõrgelt kvalifitseeritud teadustööd tegevate VKE-dega. Seetõttu on üritusel võimalik oma võrgustikku suurendada ja luua uusi partnerlusi tulevasteks Horisont 2020 konkurssideks.

Konverentsil on ka mõningaid rahalisi vahendeid, et katta reisi- ja majutuskulud osalejatel, kes tahavad esitleda oma taotluste ideid töötubades. Mida varem esitatakse oma ideid korraldajatele, seda tõenäolisem on hüvitist saata.

Net4Society konverents „Demokraatia ja Euroopa“

From 30th to 31st October 2017 “Net4Society” will organise the conference “Democracy and Europe” in Lisbon. “Net4Society” is the network of National Contact Points for Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 6 “Europe in a changing world: inclusive, innovative and reflective societies”.
‘Democracy and Europe’ will bring together perspectives that look at the past, tackle present challenges and look into the future of democracy in Europe and beyond. This encounter of multiple perspectives and actors – academics, civil society, and policy-makers – is of utmost importance to help us move towards a better society.
The conference is open for researchers as well as companies and policy makers.

Konverents „Euroopa teadusuuringute sotsiaalse mõju kujundamine: poliitikad, strateegiad, rahastus“

Euroopa Komisjoni ja Euroopa Kaitseagentuuri kõrgtehnoloogiliste materjalide, struktuuride ja nanotehnoloogiate partnerlusüritus

Euroopa Komisjon ja Euroopa Kaitseagentuur korraldavad Brüsselis partnerlusürituse, kus vahetatakse informatsiooni nanotehnoloogiate, kõrgtehnoloogiliste materjalide ning kõrgtehnoloogilise tootmise ja töötlemise projektide kohta.

7. raamprogrammi, Horisont 2020 ja Euroopa Kaitseagentuuri projektide konsortsiumite esindajad tutvustavad oma töö tulemusi, et selgitada välja potentsiaalsed vastastikused tsiviil- ja militaarüksuste kasud ning edendada väljundite ja ideede täiendamist.

Ürituse eesmärk on uurida, kuidas Horisont 2020 ja Euroopa Kaitseagentuuri teadusuuringute ja innovatsiooni tulemused võiksid olla üksteisele kasulikud ning edendada kaitse- ja julgeolekuvõimekust.

European Commission & European Defence Agency Matchmaking event
On 7 November a matchmaking event will be organised in Brussels by the European Defence Agency (EDA) and  the European Commission (EC) (“Key Enabling Technologies” Programme in the Research & Innovation DG). Information will be exchanged on projects developed in EDA and EC in the field of Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and  Advanced Manufacturing and Processing.
Consortium representatives  of EU funded FP7 and Horizon 2020 and of EDA projects will present their results to identify potential reciprocal benefits for civil and defence entities and to foster cross-fertilisation of outputs and ideas.
The objective of the event is to explore how research and innovation results from Horizon 2020 and EDA could be mutually beneficial, enhancing defence and security capabilities.

Norra teadus- ja tehnikaülikooli (NTNU) vilistlaste konverents keskendub sel aastal järgmise raamprogrammi kujundamisele, pöörates erilist tähelepanu teadusuuringute ja innovatsiooni missioonipõhisele lähenemisele.

Konverents algab 4 paralleelse töötoaga, mis keskenduvad teemadele energeetika, ookeanid, jätkusuutlikkus ja tervis. NTNU Alumni European Conference 2017
This year, the NTNU Alumni Conference will focus on the set-up of the next Framework Programme, with particular attention to the novelty of the “Mission Driven R&I approach”.
Four parallel workshops focused on Energy, Oceans, Sustainability and Health will start the conference by debating the future R&I priorities in the respective areas with the participation of relevant EC representatives and key stakeholders from industry, research and significant platforms.

IKT taotlejate päev 2017
09.-11.11.17 Budapest, Ungari

Info- ja kommunikatsioonitehnoloogia (IKT) taotlejate päev 2017 on võrgustikuüritus, mis edendab Euroopa IKT teadusuuringuid ja innovatsiooni ning keskendub IKT teemade taotlusvoorudele Horisont 2020 2018-2020 tööprogrammis. Üritus pakub unikaalset võimalust luua partnerlusi õppejõududega, teadlastega, tööstuse sidusrühmadega, väikese ja keskmise suurusega ettevõtetega ja valitsustega üle kogu Euroopa.

Programm:

• Võrgustumissessioonid, kus potentsiaalsed taotlejad esitavad oma projektiideesid, vastavalt 2018-2020 tööprogrammi sammastele ja teemadele;
• Infotunnid taotluste koostamiseks ja esitamiseks;
• Infostendid Horisont 2020 2018-2020 tööprogrammi IKT teemadest ja taotlusvoorude sisust:

ICT Proposers’ Day 2017
ICT Proposers’ Day 2017 will take place on 9 and 10 November in Budapest, Hungary. This networking event centres on European ICT Research & Innovation with a special focus on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme for 2018-20. An opening ceremony and social event will take place on November 8.
The event will focus on the 2018 Calls for Proposals of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme in the field of Information & Communication Technologies. It will offer an exceptional opportunity to build quality partnerships with academics, researchers, industrial stakeholders, SMEs and government actors from all over Europe.
The programme will include:

• Networking sessions where potential proposers present their project ideas, organised according to the Pillars and Topics of the Work Programme 2018-20;
• Information sessions on how to prepare and submit a proposal;
• Information stands on the ICT-related topics of the Work Programme 2018-20 and the content of the calls for proposals;
• A European Commission information desk to supply information on the content and logistics of the event;
• Booths, organised by village, which serve as meeting points for people interested in the same research topics;
• Ample space for informal networking and bilateral meetings between participants.
• Workshops and Face2Face Brokerage organised by Ideal-Ist.

Engaged Humanities projekti töötuba ja konverents
13.-16.11.17 Varssavi, Poola

Horisont 2020-st rahastust saanud projekt ingl. Engaged Humanities korraldab rahvusvahelist töötuba ja konverentsi, mis toob kokku teadlased ja keeleaktivistid, et arutada ohustatud keelte ja kultuuripärandite säilitamist ja taaselustamist.
Konverentsieelne töötuba toimub 13.-14. novembril ning konverents 15.-16. novembril.

Workshop and Conference – Engaged Humanities project
Title of the event is “Engaged Humanities: preserving and revitalizing endangered languages and cultural heritage”.
This is an international meeting of scientists and language activists working together on language documentation and revitalisation.

Horisont 2020 ühiskonnaprobleemi „Toiduga kindlustatus, säästev põllumajandus, mere- ja merendusuuringud ning biomajandus“ infonädal
14.-17.11.17 Brüssel, Belgia

Euroopa Komisjoni teadusuuringute rakendusamet, teadusuuringute ja innovatsiooni peadirektoraat ning põllumajanduse ja maaelu arengu peadirektoraat korraldavad Horisont 2020 ühiskonnaprobleemi „Toiduga kindlustatus, säästev põllumajandus, mere- ja merendusuuringud ning biomajandus“ valdkonnas infonädala.
Lisaks infopäevale antud valdkonna uue 2018-2020 tööprogrammi kohta ning partnerlusüritusele toimub nädala jooksul kõrgetasemelisi levitamise ja poliitika üritusi ning biomajanduse küla, kus tutvustatakse antud valdkonna projekte ja algatusi.

Infonädal on korraldatud järgnevalt:

• 14. novembril on Horisont 2020 ühiskonnaprobleemi „Toiduga kindlustatus, säästev põllumajandus, mere- ja merendusuuringud ning biomajandus“ infopäev.
• 15. novembril on Horisont 2020 ühiskonnaprobleemi „Toiduga kindlustatus, säästev põllumajandus, mere- ja merendusuuringud ning biomajandus“ partnerlusüritus.
• 16. novembril on Horisont 2020 biomajanduse päev.
• 17. novembril on Horisont 2020 digiteerimise päev.

Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2 Infoweek including high-level policy events
The Research Executive Agency (REA), the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) of the European Commission are co-organising an Info Week on Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2  (SC2) ‘Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’.
The usual SC2 Info Day on the new SC2 Work Programme for 2018-2020 and a related brokerage day will be complemented by two high level dissemination and policy events and a bioeconomy village highlighting SC2 projects and initiatives.

Eelteade: Konverents „Naised teaduses – kuidas tõsta naiste osalust teaduses“
21.11.17 Brüssel, Belgia

Slovakkia Brüsseli T&A büroo SLORD ja Slovakkia alaline esindus ELi juures korraldavad konverentsi „Naised teaduses – kuidas tõsta naiste osalust teaduses“.

Ürituse peamine eesmärk on arutada naiste osalust teadusuuringutes ja naisteadlaste peamisi väljakutseid. Konverents toob kokku teadlased, poliitikakujundajad ja eksperdid, et arutada naiste olukorda teaduses ja peamisi tegureid naiste madalas esindatuses juhtivatel ametikohtadel ja teatud teaduslikes valdkondades.

Conference “Women in Science –  How to increase women´s participation in science”
Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development, and Permanent Representation of the SR to the EU are organising the conference “Women in Science –  How to increase women´s participation in science”. The conference will be held on 21 November 2017, 14:00 – 18:00 at the Permanent Representation of the SR to the EU Avenue de Cortenbergh 107, 1000 Brussels.
The main aim of the event is to discuss women´s participation in science and research and main challenges facing female scientists. The conference will bring together scientists, policy makers and experts to discuss conditions for women in science and the key factors behind the low representation of women in leading positions and within some scientific domains and fields of study.

Teine iga-aastane QED konverents “Asjade internet mobiilsuses: digitaaltehnoloogiad intelligentseks transpordiks”

QEDi teine iga-aastane konverents keskendub digitaaltehnoloogiatele transpordisektoris.
Transpordisektor on läbimas suurt muutust, mis on tingitud digitaaltehnoloogiate innovatsioonist tekkivatest uutest murrangulistest ärimudelitest. Euroopa Komisjoni teatis „Koostoimelisi intelligentseid transpordisüsteeme käsitlev Euroopa strateegia – samm koostoimelise, ühendatud ja automatiseeritud liikuvuse tagamise suunas“ rõhutab vajadust korrektse õigusliku raamistiku järele, et saada kasu sotsiaalsetest ja majanduslikest võimalustest.

2nd Annual QED Conference on IoT on the Move: Digital Technologies for Smart Transportation
The transport sector is undergoing a deep change led by digital technology innovation generating new disruptive business models.
From fleet management to connected cars, from supply chains to urban mobility, the adoption and deployment of new technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data raise several critical issues to be addressed such as the cybersecurity, data protection and privacy, as well as interoperability to avoid a fragmented internal market.
In its communication ” A European strategy on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS), a milestone towards cooperative, connected and automated mobility”, the European Commission highlits the need of a correct legal framework for Europe to reap the benefits of the social and economic opportunities.

The aim of the 8th International Scientific Conference ‘RURAL DEVELOPMENT 2017: Bioeconomy Challenges’ is to provide scientific interdisciplinary discussion and to share new ideas for sustainable rural development in the context of Knowledge, Innovations and Social Progress.
The scope of the Conference covers four main areas: Biosystems Engineering and Environment, Agro-innovations and Food Technologies, Multifunctional Approach for Sustainable Use of Natural Resources, and Social Innovations for Rural Development.

Sotsiaalse innovatsiooni konverents

Sotsiaalse innovatsiooni konverentsi eesmärgiks on aidata kujundada uut sotsiaalse innovatsiooni narratiivi ning panustada järgmise teadusuuringute ja innovatsiooni raamprogrammi kujundamisse. Järgmine raamprogramm (2020-2027) peaks toetama majanduslikku ja sotsiaalset tulemuslikkust kaasates sotsiaalset innovatsiooni igasse oma elementi. Opening up to an ERA of Social Innovation Conference
The conference will help script a new narrative for social innovation and inform the design of the future framework programme (FP) for research and innovation of the European Union (EU) for the period 2020–2027. The FP is open to the world and serves the advancement of science and the promotion of innovation internationally. The next FP should lend its support to reconciling economic and social performances by embedding social innovation in each element of its construct. Consequently, the conference will focus on sharing experience, learning about new trends, and networking to increase the effectiveness of social innovation as a global public policy instrument.
The conference is jointly organised by the European Commission, the Portuguese Government and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Eelteade: Euroopa avatud teaduspilve pilootfaasi esimene sidusrühmade kaasamise üritus

Euroopa avatud teaduspilve pilootprojekti esimene sidusrühmade kaasamise üritus annab võimaluse erinevate sidusrühmade gruppide esindajatel ja ekspertidel esitada oma seisukohti tulevase Euroopa avatud teaduspilve arengu esimeses faasis.
Avatud teaduspilve sidusrühmade hulka kuuluvad teadust edendavad organisatsioonid, akadeemilised asutused, teadusraamatukogud, teadust rahastavad organisatsioonid, andmete varustajad, e-infrastruktuurid, akadeemilised ühendused, teadusringkonnad ja ettevõtted.

Mõlemal päeval esinevad kõrgetasemelised esindajad poliitikast ja valitsusest. Programmis on ka mitmeid interaktiivseid paralleelsessioone, et analüüsida konkreetseid plaane ja tegevusi projekti viie samba – valitsemine, poliitika, koostalitlusvõime, oskused ja teenused – arendamiseks. 5 teadusprototüübil, mis on juba kaasatud Euroopa avatud teaduspilve pilootfaasi, on esimest korda võimalus oma töid esitada laiemale ja avalikule publikule. Samuti antakse viimases avatud taotlusvoorus valitud 30-le kandidaadile võimalus arutada oma tegevuste konkreetset rakendamist projekti raames.

Save The Date – EOSCpilot 1st Stakeholder Engagement Event
The EOSCpilot project is excited to announce its 1st Stakeholder Engagement event, which will take place at the SQUARE in Brussels on the 28th and 29th November 2017.
This promises to be an extremely interactive gathering of representatives and experts from the numerous stakeholder groups that drive the project, enabling them to have their voice in the first phase of development of the future European Open Science Cloud.
EOSCpilot stakeholders include research-producing organisations, academic institutions and research libraries, research-funding bodies, data providers, e-infrastructures, learned societies, research communities and enterprise.
Both days will include plenary sessions with high-level policy and governance representatives. The programme also foresees a series of truly interactive parallel sessions to analyse the specific plans and actions for the evolution of the five pillars of the project: governance, policy, interoperability, skills and services.
The five Science demonstrators already involved in EOSCpilot will have the first chance to present their work carried out to a broader and more public audience. The selection of the 30 applicants to the last Open Call will also have occasion to discuss the concrete application of their activities within the framework of the project.
The second edition of the Digital Infrastructures for Research Conference (DI4R2017) will be co-located with the EOSCpilot Stakeholder event, on the 30th of Nov-1st of Dec 2017 at the same venue.

ELi teaduse ühise kavandamise algatus „Tervislik toitumisviis täisväärtuslikuks eluks“ (JPI HDHL) korraldab 4. rahvusvahelist konverentsi. Konverentsi peamine teema on toitumisteaduse ühiskondliku mõju suurendamine.
Konverentsi sihtrühmaks pole ainult rahastamisasutused ja teadlased, vaid ka tervise ja põllumajanduse poliitikakujundajad, tööstussektor ja tervisevaldkonna professionaalid.

4 paralleelset töötuba käsitlevad avaliku ja erasektori teaduse ja innovatsiooni alast koostööd ning seda, kuidas parandada toitumisteaduse mõju ja korraldada mitmeid sidusrühmi hõlmavaid dialooge.
Publikuga toimuv arutelu keskendub sellele, kuidas parandada teadusuuringute ja innovatsiooni investeeringute mõju toidu, toitumise, tervise ja kehalise aktiivsuse valdkonnas.

Noored teadlased 20 erinevast JPI HDHL riigist, kes on seotud algatuse rahastatud projektiga teevad lühikese ettekande oma projekti olulisusest toitumisega seotud krooniliste haiguste ühiskondlikule väljakutsele.

Huvilised võivad tutvuda ühisalgatuse loodud lühikese videoga toitumise ja tervise uuringute olulisusest.

JPI HDHL: 4th International Conference
The Joint Programming Initiative “A Healthy Diet For A Healthy Life” (JPI HDHL) is organising its 4th international conference which will take place on 01 December 2017 in Brussels.
Intensifying the societal impact of nutritional science will be the main theme of the 4th JPI HDHL conference. The target audience is broad and includes not only funders and scientists, but also policy makers of health & agriculture, industry and health professionals.
Four parallel workshops are foreseen e.g. on public-private R&I collaboration; how to improve the impact of nutrition science; how to organize multi-stakeholder dialogues and a decision room session to provide input for the update of the SRA.
The audience debate will focus on how to improve the impact of R&I investments in the area of food, nutrition health & physical activity.
Young scientists from about 20 JPI HDHL countries that are involved in one of the JPI HDHL funded projects will provide a short elevator pitch. They will address the relevance of their project for the societal challenge of diet related chronic diseases.

Horisont 2020 “Tervishoid, demograafilised muutused ja heaolu” valdkonna infopäev

Euroopa Komisjon korraldab Horisont 2020 “Tervishoid, demograafilised muutused ja heaolu” valdkonnas infopäeva. Lisaks infopäevale toimub 7. detsembril kaks üritust:

• Üritus teemal innovaatilised hanked tervishoiu valdkonnas.
• ELi rahastatud projekti Health-NCP-Net 2.0 partnerlusüritus, mis pakub võimalust leida 2018. aasta tervise valdkonna konkurssideks partnereid.

Horisont 2020 2018-2020 “Tervishoid, demograafilised muutused ja heaolu” valdkonna tööprogrammi raames on oodata 2 miljardi suurust eelarvet. Antud valdkond keskendub teemadele nagu personaalmeditsiin, nakkushaigused, globaalse tervise parandamine, innovatiivsed ja jätkusuutlikud tervishoiusüsteemid, digitaalne transformatsioon ja küberjulgeolek tervishoius.

Info Day, Horizon 2020 – ‘Health, demographic change and wellbeing’
With the principle of better health for all at its core, Horizon 2020’s Societal Challenge 1 (Health, demographic change and wellbeing) focuses on personalised health and care, infectious diseases and improving global health, innovative and sustainable health systems, decoding the role of the environment (including climate change) for health and well-being, digital transformation and cybersecurity in health and care.
Horizon 2020′ Societal Challenge 1 Work Programme 2018-2020 will be expected to offer calls for proposals with an overall budget of about €2 billion.
Related to the Health Open Info Day, the Directorate-General for Research & Innovation supports the following two events which will be organised on 7 December 2017 in Brussels:

Rahvusvahelisele tippkonverentsile on oodata kokku ligi 600 tööstussektori ja akadeemiliste ringkondade juhtfiguuri ning poliitikut üle kogu Euroopa, et koos visandada Euroopa tööstuse tulevikku ning määratleda eelisarendatavad tehnoloogiaarendussuunad 2020-2022.

MANUFUTURE konverents toimub üle aasta ning on kogu tootmissektori võtmeüritus Euroopas, kus räägitakse tööstuse ja tootmise strateegilisest tähtsusest majandusele. Tööstuse arengu teemadel on Eestis juba kaks aastat väga edukalt korraldatud Industry 4.0 in Practice konverentsi, mis sel aastal toimub samuti MANUFUTURE konverentsi raames.

MANUFUTURE 2017 “Moving up the Value Chain” konverents keskendub seekord kolmele põhiteemale:

Konverents „Nature-based solutions: From Innovation to Common-use“

Tallinna Ülikool ja Keskkonnaministeerium korraldavad Tallinnas konverentsi „Nature-based Solutions: From Innovation to Common-use“, kus tutvustatakse loodusest inspireeritud innovaatilisi praktikaid ja teadmisi, mis aitavad lahendada kliimamuutusest ja linnastumisest tekkivat koormust linnadele ning looduskeskkonnale.

Eesti Euroopa Liidu Nõukogu eesistumise raames toimuval konverentsil keskendutakse sellele, kuidas tehnoloogiad saavad uute looduspõhiste lahenduste loomist ja kasutamist tõhustada ning inimeste teadlikkust tõsta. Konverentsi teemad hõlmavad loodusel põhinevaid ja ökoinnovaatilisi tehnoloogiaid, mida on võimalik rakendada nii linna- kui looduskeskkonnas.

Kolmepäevasel sündmusel osalevad eksperdid ja poliitikakujundajad annavad soovitusi, kuidas suurendada Euroopas teadlikkust loodusest inspireeritud innovaatilistest lahendustest ja viia nende laiema rakendamiseni. Conference „Nature-based Solutions: From Innovation to Common-use“
The conference will address nature-targeted innovation actions involving all societal actors, i.e. science, business, society and politicians. It will host leading scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs from around the world who will share their experience on how nature-based innovation and eco-innovative technologies can be implemented in many areas of life.
The first day of this three-day conference will feature field vists and side events for organisations related to NBS. The second day will focus on policy and governance of NBS and day three will highlight research and innovation.
Discussions will cover policy and financing as well as innovative solutions close to or already on the market to give inspiration and show what can be done. The conference aims to strengthen synergies among various recent initiatives and programs related to NBS launched by the European Commission and by the EU Member States.

Eesti teadust tutvustav konverents „Embedding Digital into Societal Challenges“

Konverentsi eesmärk on suurendada Eesti teaduse ja riigi nähtavust nutika riigina ning arutada selle üle, kuidas peaks praegune ELi teadus- ja arendustegevuse ning innovatsiooni raamprogramm Horisont 2020 ja sellele järgnev programm digiteemasid toetama. Konverentsile on oodatud ELi institutsioonide poliitikakujundajad, otsustajad, liikmesriikide esindajad ja teised Brüsselis asuvad osapooled.

Konverentsi korraldavad Eesti Teadusagentuur ja selle Brüsseli kontaktbüroo, Eesti alaline esindus ELi juures, Haridus- ja Teadusministeerium ja välispartnerina Euroopa pealinnade ülikoolide võrgustik (Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe, UNICA).

Conference „Embedding digital into societal challenges“
This conference, which will take place in Brussels, aims to provide input towards policy discussions relevant to policymakers and decision-makers in the EU institutions, Member States, and stakeholders. It relates to some of the barriers to embedding digital solutions into the societal challenges posed by the EU research and innovation (R&I) framework programme Horizon 2020, and the next framework programme. Another aim is to showcase Estonian scientists’ and research-based enterprises’ contributions in addressing these obstacles. The conference will also be an opportunity to find partners for cooperation.
Organisers: the Estonian Research Council and its Estonian Liaison Office for EU RTD in Brussels, the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU and the Ministry of Education and Research in Estonia and the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe (UNICA), who has an expertise in international cooperation with universities and the field of media and communication.
Target group: 100-150 people, primarily policymakers and decision-makers at the EU institutions, including high officials from the European Commission, representatives of the relevant professional associations, R&I offices, attachés from Member States, representatives of universities, and others in the field.
