COST uudised

Sellel aastal 40. sünnipäeva tähistav COST 17. ja 18. mail toimunud 182. vanemametnike koosolek oli töine ja optimistlik. Euroopa Komisjoni teadusuuringute ja innovatsiooni peadirektoraadi otsus eraldada COST projektidele lisaraha kuni 40 miljonit eurot, oli rõõmustav ja kauaoodatud uudis.

Koosolekul kinnitati 31 uut projekti, neist nelja projekti algatusgrupis osalesid ka eesti teadlased:
• BM1104: Mass Spectrometry Imaging: New Tools for Healthcare Research – Mart Loog (Tartu Ülikool)
• FP1102: Determining Invasiveness And Risk Of Dothistroma (DIAROD) – Rein Drenkhan ja Märt Hanso (Eesti Maaülikool)
• ES1103: Microbial ecology & the earth system: collaborating for insight and success with the new generation of sequencing tools – Leho Tedersoo (Tartu Ülikool)
• IC1103: Manufacturable and Dependable Multicore Architectures at Nanoscale – Raimund Ubar (Tallinna Tehnikaülikool).
